The Kenya government a few hours ago today announced down to dusk curfew in Nakuru District following many deaths today. Hundreds of Kalenjin militias were involved with the mayhem as they went burning houses in Nakuru Town outskirts in daylight.
The police are outnumbered there and the army was called in to assist the other security forces. Violence continues in other parts of the rift Valley today.
Red cross says more than 5,000 are now homeless in that Town.
Other reports say that more road blocks have been laid by militias to stop vehicles on way to Eldoret and Kericho. Kofi Annan met religious leaders today as ODM says it wants nothing less than its presidential seat held by Kibaki. ODM is expected to call for more action next week.
