In a robbery of its kind, unknown thugs Tuesday night mysteriously made away with ten motor vehicles from a Mombasa showroom.
The suspects are said to have entered into the premises of Fuji Trading Company before making away with the assorted motor vehicles valued at 25 million shillings.
Proprietors of the company woke up to the site of a half empty yard following the incident.
In what appeared to be a coordinated robbery, the thugs gained access into the premises and one by one the 10 cars were driven out of the showroom.
The company’s director said he suspected the thugs had colluded with three guards manning the precincts to commit the robbery.
Coast PCIO Bernard Mate said police are now looking for the three guards who have since gone underground.
Police later recovered two of the stolen vehicles parked near Casablanca night club.
Elsewhere, a suspected gangster was Wednesday morning stoned to death by a mob in a foiled robbery attempt in Nairobi’s Dandora estate.
The suspect and his accomplice who escaped, are said to have accosted a woman as she visited a friend in the area.
A Tokalev pistol with four rounds of ammunition were recovered from the dead suspect.
