Environment Minister John Michuki has hit at three foreign countries he claims are undermining the country’s sovereignty.
Speaking in Murang’a, Michuki accused the Britain, US and Germany of spreading baseless propaganda against Kenya.
Speaking at General Kago Stadium when he addressed shareholders of Farm Land Company, Michuki said envoys from the three countries were engaging in a hate campaign.
He said: “Kenya attained its independence in 1963 and it does not need instructions from any country on which doctrines to follow.”
He said the envoys were purporting that President Kibaki had ceded executive powers to Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
“This is mere propaganda originating from enemies of Kenya who over the years have been holding grudges against President Kibaki’s Government. The President has retained all executive powers even after the formation of the Coalition Government,” he said.
He added: “I’m not the kind of person who can accept baseless propaganda being levelled against his country.”
Michuki, however, gave no evidence of his allegations against Germany, Britain and the US.
