The Government intends to raise Sh29 billion from the harambee to help those displaced by the post-election violence rebuild their homes and start a new life.

Already, thousands of uprooted people in various parts of the country have gone back to their homes under the rudi nyumabani programme coordinated by the Government and the Kenya Red Cross.

The government has contributed Sh1 billion for the establishment of the fund headed by retired Catholic Archbishop Ndingi Mwana a’Nzeki.
