Nyagah’s burial underway

The burial of the late Jeremiah Nyagah is currently taking place in his Mbeere home in Embu District.
Jeremiah passed on the 10th this month at the age of 87 after a short illness at Aga Khan Hospital.
The funeral service was carried out Thursday and the body flown this morning to Mbeere.
President Mwai Kibaki and Prime minister Raila Odinga are some of the dignitaries who have just arrived at the funeral.
The late Nyagah served in both late Jomo Kenyatta and former president Daniel Moi’s government after he was elected a member of the pre-independence Legislative council in 1958.
He was later elected as an MP for Gachoka constituency until his retirement in 1993.
